Masterpiece-to-Market™ Pilot

Test the collection before committing to full development.

Validate a distinctive creative direction through focused product concept development and product concept testing—before committing to licensing, sampling or production.

The Masterpiece-to-Market™ Pilot is a focused product concept development and product concept testing programme for brands evaluating a new creative territory. Over six to eight weeks, ARTiSTORY develops cultural research, a focused Artifact Library, two category-specific creative directions, initial product and packaging concepts, and a rights pathway—supporting a clear Proceed, Refine or Stop decision.

Pilot Scope

Each pilot focuses on:

  • One clearly defined capsule collection

  • One cultural theme and source partner or tradition

  • Up to three selected artworks, artefacts or cultural assets

  • Two category-specific creative directions

What Your Brand Receives

  • A focused Artifact Library and creative direction

  • High-fidelity product and packaging mock-ups

  • A preliminary cultural and rights pathway

  • Initial cost, margin, MOQ and timeline assessment

  • Shortlisted materials, techniques and potential suppliers

  • Early buyer or consumer feedback

  • A clear Proceed, Refine or Stop recommendation

Early Market Feedback

For wholesale-led brands, we can present the proposed concepts and pricing to selected buyers or distributors.

For direct-to-consumer brands, we can test interest through focus groups, private landing pages, waitlists or controlled digital campaigns.

The pilot does not guarantee sell-through. It provides practical evidence to help your brand make a better-informed decision while the financial commitment remains relatively low.

How Product Concept Testing Reduces Development Risk

Instead of beginning with a licence or full collection, ARTiSTORY tests the cultural source, visual territory and initial product applications first. This gives the brand evidence to assess customer and category fit, refine the proposition and reduce uncertainty before committing resources to rights negotiations, sampling or production.

Masterpiece-to-Market™ Pilot FAQs

What is included in the Masterpiece-to-Market™ Pilot?

The pilot includes alignment on your customer, category, price point, channel and commercial objective; cultural-source research; a focused Artifact Library; two category-specific creative directions; high-fidelity product and packaging mock-ups; a preliminary rights pathway; and an initial cost, margin, MOQ and timeline assessment.

How long does it take?

A typical pilot takes approximately six to eight weeks. Timing may vary according to the product category, research requirements, number of concepts and the availability of information or feedback from the brand.

Do we need an existing licence?

No. The pilot can begin before a licence is secured. ARTiSTORY can research licensed, public-domain and other appropriate cultural sources, allowing the brand to assess the creative and commercial opportunity before entering rights negotiations.

What categories are suitable?

The pilot is particularly suited to fashion, accessories, beauty, home textiles, interiors, gifting and selected lifestyle products. It can also support hospitality, retail and destination-based experiences where a cultural or creative concept needs evaluation before full development.

What happens after Proceed, Refine or Stop?

Proceed moves the concept into full collection development, rights coordination, production-ready assets, packaging and storytelling. Refine adjusts the cultural source, creative direction or product proposition for another testing round. Stop ends the exploration before significant licensing, sampling or production investment.
