supporting emerging creative talent through artful design
Moleskine sought to honor NASA's legacy of space exploration while developing products that spark creativity and nurture emerging artists on their creative journeys. However, with most of NASA's design assets available in the public domain, the question was clear: how could Moleskine set itself apart from competitors and create a truly distinctive offering?
Inspired by the wonders of space, ARTiSTORY collaborated with British illustrator Patrick Corrigan to create the distinctive NASA-themed Limited Edition Moon illustration series, featuring playful astronauts, planetary motifs, and whimsical floral accents. Drawing from these designs, Moleskine curated a collection of collectible products—from notebooks to metal pins—each piece celebrating iconic lunar milestones with bold, expressive visuals that transform NASA's scientific achievements into creative, everyday treasures.
The historic moment when Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin became the first humans to set foot on the lunar surface. This iconic achievement represents humanity's greatest leap into space exploration and serves as inspiration for the collection's bold lunar imagery and astronaut motifs.
The mesmerizing patterns and textures of the moon's surface, captured through detailed crater formations and dust patterns. These natural lunar landscapes inspire the collection's textural elements and create a tactile connection between earthbound creativity and celestial wonder.
