The Museo Nacional Thyssen-Bornemisza is located in Madrid, Spain and houses one of the finest and most varied collections of Western painting. Dürer, Titian, Caravaggio, Rubens, Rembrandt, Monet, Degas, Cézanne, Van Gogh, Picassoare just some of the names on the long list of great masters represented in its holdings.
The museum is supported by the Thyssen-Bornemisza Collection Foundation, which is responsible for the management of the museum, the conservation of its works, carrying out research, organising public exhibitions and promoting the artworks that were acquired by the Spanish State in 1993. The museum has always emphasised its goal of promoting its collection by organising various events and programmes aimed at different audiences.
