ANTI:DOTE x Fairmont Singapore x the British Library
Where Literature Meets Luxury Gastronomy

The Challenge
The primary creative problem lies in the need to authentically translate a century-old literary masterpiece into a modern, multisensory luxury experience. Adapting historic and complex IP like archival storybook illustrations for a commercial market requires a delicate touch to bridge the gap between two distinct worlds: the quiet, scholarly heritage of a national library and the vibrant, social nature of high-end hospitality. To resonate with modern consumers who seek deeper purpose in their leisure activities, the partnership must preserve the integrity of the original narrative while delivering a high-value, contemporary product.
Our Solution
ARTiSTORY facilitated a groundbreaking collaboration between Fairmont Singapore and the British Library to launch "Adventures in Storyland," the inaugural programme in a themed high tea series. This partnership transforms rare archival literature into accessible storytelling through a curated culinary journey. By reimagining early 20th-century book illustrations as edible masterpieces and immersive decor, ARTiSTORY enabled the brand to create a luxury offering that is essentially "consumable art".
Featured Artworks and Collections
Featured British Library Collections
The British Library is the national library of the United Kingdom and one of the world's most prestigious cultural institutions. It houses a vast literary archive spanning centuries, including rare, first-edition storybooks that serve as a foundational pillar of global storytelling and artistic heritage.

Cinderella, illustrated by Arthur Rackham (1919)
Featured on: "Adventures in Storyland" high tea menu and themed venue decor. The collection utilizes Rackham’s iconic silhouette illustrations and rich, period-specific motifs. These visual elements were meticulously translated onto a range of sweet and savoury treats—such as pumpkin-themed delights—and large-scale displays, including a dramatic photo wall shaped like an open book.
