St. Regis Bangkok × Van Gogh Afternoon Tea

Thailand's First Van Gogh-Inspired Culinary Experience

The Challenge

Creating Thailand's first Van Gogh-inspired afternoon tea experience that would authentically capture the visual allure and emotional depth of Vincent van Gogh's iconic masterpieces while delivering the luxury hospitality standards expected at The St. Regis Bangkok. The challenge was to translate Van Gogh's dynamic brushstrokes, vibrant color palettes, and artistic passion into an immersive culinary journey that would resonate with both art enthusiasts and discerning guests seeking exceptional dining experiences.

Our Solution

In partnership with ARTiSTORY and the National Gallery, London, The St. Regis Bangkok developed Thailand's first Van Gogh-inspired afternoon tea experience, running from February 1 to May 31, 2024. The collaboration brought together world-class hospitality with authentic art licensing to create a culinary journey that blends Van Gogh's visual masterpieces with exquisite gastronomy. The experience featured meticulously crafted delectable treats designed to evoke the essence of Van Gogh's art, complemented by Van Gogh-inspired merchandise including specially designed plush bears featuring patterns from the original paintings. A second, even more elaborate dessert menu with beautiful and edible art was launched in April 2024, enhancing the artistic culinary experience.
