The Brooklyn Museum played a crucial role in this collaboration by providing access to its rich collection of artworks. Their partnership ensured that the designs were authentic and true to the spirit of the original masterpieces, allowing the fashion line to resonate with art lovers.
The collection is inspired by John James Audubon's "The Birds of America," a renowned work by the world-famous ornithologist and naturalist. This masterpiece is considered an "American national treasure" and is celebrated for its detailed and lifelike representations of bird species, which fetched $11,500,000 at auction.
The final product of this collaboration is the Wild Flowers and Birds collection, launched in early 2023. Featuring dresses adorned with iconic bird paintings, the apparel line reflects a harmonious blend of art and fashion, bringing the beauty of Audubon's work to a new audience in a wearable form.
